Question: 'Port overrun' message; printing skips lines and sometimes writes over previous lines; has been running ok for a while, but it is not printing right.
 
Answer: At first, the incorrect settings may work correctly, but once the customer puts more demands on the system, it cannot operate properly since the printer and/or terminal is not set up properly to match their current version program.
  1. Fax a setup sheet or review it with the customer.
  2. Check in the Link terminal that 'Main Rcv' and 'Xmt' are set to match program version.
  3. Then verify that the switch settings in the printer are correct as well - especially SW1, position.
  4. Verify that the baud rate on the remote port is no higher that 1200.
