Question: 9153ATW1M or 9853ATW1M having problems with air blowing out one of the air eliminators or getting slow flow on one of the sides.

Answer: This could be a supply line air leak.
  • If air is blowing out of one of the air eliminators, replace the check valve on the opposite side.
  • If the check valve is not holding on one side the other side will suck the fuel out the ACTIVE side and when there is no more fuel it will start pulling air from the IDLE side.
  • If one side is pumping slower than the other side you want to replace the check valve in the side that is pumping slow making sure that they use the appropriate one (there is a different spring for diesel than there is for gasoline).
